My Dad emailed me today with this blog he has been following. It is a "myth buster" type blog that researches interesting and unusual information. Things like...
What do you mean you can microwave aluminum foil??? Seriously???
Actually, you can microwave it.
Experiment: If you place an ice cube in foil and wrap it and crunch it up so tightly that you can not figure out how to unwrap it again... the foil and the ice have "bonded". "Zap it" for a minute and take it out, the ice cube will still be frozen. The microwaves, which are like radio waves, can't penetrate the foil to melt the ice.
Try it. Make sure there are absolutely no bits of foil standing up so your oven won't arc.
